“Where do you ride that?” Is the usual question we receive when people see a downhill bike in our shop. Some of the trails at Ft. Duffeild can be pretty fun on a DH bike if you’re down for the walk back up. The southeast is currently seeing an explosion in the form of lift/shuttle access riding. Windrock bike park is only a short 3.5 hr drive and features 2000ft of vertical and two school buses that bring you back to the top. Drive a little more and you have Snowshoe Bike park or Bailey mtn to get your shred on. There’s truly nothing like downhill riding, nowhere else are you able to get so comfortable on a trail so quickly. Repetition will have you feeling like a pro in no time.
For riders wishing to ride the gnarliest black diamond out there or just cruise the flow trail… we present to you the Norco Aurum. Designed in conjunction with Norco’s World Cup DH teams past and present, the Aurum has been proven on the World Cup stage. This 650B-wheeled race bike represents the cutting edge of Norco’s engineering and design capability and brings together all of our most advanced carbon, aluminum and mountain technologies. The aurum line starts out with a very reasonable priced aluminum model that will save you some cash for lift tickets.
