When it comes to bike parts these days I’m pretty content with the performance of everything. The idea of stronger brakes is something that never leaves your mind though. The Hayes dominion brake has been of interest to me for some time after a good friend raved about them. He bragged about their super light action at the lever and absolutely insane amount of power. The high praises were further echoed by riders I talked to around the country that had been running them. What once was know as “the best brake no one knew about” is quickly becoming the brake people won’t stop talking about. We have now installed them on two riders bikes and will be stocking them for the foreseeable future.
Dominion’s master cylinder is factory tuned for the shortest dead stroke possible and a crisp bite point. The Dominion A4 caliper utilizes four pistons in the most structurally rigid design possible. It features a cold-forged caliper and KingPin structural pad retention bolt that increases stiffness.
With a motorsports-inspired Two-Stroke dual port bleed system, industry-leading DOT 5.1 fluid and Kevlar hose, the hydraulic system is engineered for ultimate performance across all temperatures and easy maintenance. Dominion A4 features the proprietary QuickBite² system for fast and consistent burnish, coupled with Hayes D-Series rotor to manage the heat with less braking noise.
Also available in SFL (Small Finger Lever) – ergonomically tailored for the smaller hand.
