Lake’s CX239 is their most recent update to the beloved CX238. Taking DNA over from the CX333, the new CX239 has a refined upper design. Increased medial foot support combined with the tongue construction now being a part of the upper gives a more locked in feel, while spreading load across the top of the foot better than ever before thanks in part to a rearrangement of the Boa locations. The heel cup has been refined to offer a tighter fitment and drastically decrease heel slippage. This shoe, along with the rest of Lake’s Competition Last, will continue to be a main staple in our Bike Fit Studio to for riders in need of a versatile shoe for road, mountain, cyclocross, and gravel (in the MX variant). Not to mention this in a wide fit is the widest shoe that Lake themselves offer.
