About the Build

We love when we get the opportunity to build a customer’s dream bike and this new Gunnar Hyper-X is no exception. With standard specs including a lighter tubeset, stainless dropouts and chainstay disc mounts, this is a great frame made even better through customization. We get a lot of questions about why it’s good to go custom and this bike is a great example of where you can go. A custom 44mm head tube allows for additional fork options such as the 1.5″ Enve fork. A custom color choice and a build kit including items like American made Velocity rims, the afore mentioned Enve carbon fork, Chris King headset and a Thomson seat post, plus SRAM Rival 22 with hydraulic disc brakes come together to form a versatile bike that can offer so many more riding options aside from an amazing cyclocross experience. The addition of color coordinated purple Crank Brothers pedals go perfectly with the custom sea foam paint for finishing touches that can rarely be seen on a stock bicycle.
