About the Build

This was one cool build right here. A buddy of ours brought us his Atherton frame to build up. This brand is the was launched by the most popular trio of siblings in the sport. From the start they’ve gone about things with a different approach, producing high end bikes out of their Wales facility in the United Kindom. Carbon tubes joined together with 3d printed titanium lugs cut down on waste, eliminate the need for expensive molds, and allow for more size than any brand currently offers. The finished product is as impressive as the ride quality provided by their Dave Weagle designed 6 link system. If there was a brand of bike that we’d buy ourselves that we don’t work with (currently consumer direct), this would be it.

The bike came together using the best components available. I9 wheels custom laced with Berd spokes in our in-house wheel building factory to carbon Enve rims. Hope’s new Tech 4 brake was the choice for their insane stopping power and don’t they match the rest of the silver bits nicely? A SRAM AXS drivetrain was the choice for gearing, we would’ve gone with Transmission but this frame currently didn’t support it. A bike yoke dropper post was chosen for it’s time tested reliability track record. Canecreek EE wing cranks wrap up the build and complete the look. Easy to say this is one of the coolest bikes we’ve brought to life recently. As always, we are more than happy to build your bike even if it’s not a brand we sell.
