Kona’s Ute continues to change people’s lives all over the world. For 2012 Kona added smooth welds to make the frame more streamlined and an internal headset with an oversized headtube to stiffen up the bike’s front end. They also beefed up the downtube to increase the lateral stability of the bike when it’s carrying heavy loads. We’ve had a Ute for a few years now as our shop bike and really love using it when running shop errands. One of the big improvements I noticed this year are the new bags that will keep everything dry really well, a flat bottom with plastic insert to hold shape, and a fold out divider to keep things organized. The best part is that they get two of these awesome bags! Other upgrades include 9sp drivetrain, fenders front and rear, and disc front and rear.
