About the Build

This bike is an exciting bike to share as I am lucky enough to be riding it myself currently! I was really excited to try some new technologies with this build… obviously Evil’s D.E.L.T.A. suspension, SRAM DUB cranks/bottom bracket, oval chainring, and Rochshox new DEBONAIR spring on the Pike. This bike has some high expectations to live up to with so many positive reviews and riders often claiming that it’s “on of the best bikes they’ve rode.” One of the first things I noticed was how much it smoothed out all the “chatter” at high speed, this really allows you to hold your line and inspires a lot of confidence in the tires. This bike feels planted on the trail except when it’s time to go airborne. I’ve never had a bike that wants to be thrown around in the air this much, even on small jumps. Landings are very plush thanks to the highly progressive suspension. After a few weeks of riding I am really digging how this bike handles tight corners. Typically 29er’s turn pretty slowly for me, but this one is a welcomed exception. I literally can’t wait to get to some thigh twisty turns on thing thing. This bike has opened my eyes to new lines in Cherokee Park therefore making my rides more fun. Find out for yourself just how much fun this bike is October 15th when we have a Evil bikes demo at Cherokee Park!
